| The American Pika, a relative of rabbits, is a small mammal with rounded ears. These adorable animals primarly eat herbs and grasses. Native to cool climates, most species live on rocky mountain sides where there are small crevices for them to find shelter. Pikas produce a series of squeaks as a means of communication.
Since Pikas rely on a cooler climate, they may be one of the first mammals in North America to fall victim to Global Warming if heat trapping emissions are not reduced soon.
